OCole Morganrlando, FL - Dec 10 – The recently crowned 2007 F2000 Pro Series Champion, Cole Morgan, showed his diverse driving skills by testing with the Robby Unser Racing drift team. This was Morgan’s first attempt at drifting, and he was able to use his road racing skills to accelerate his learning curve. Morgan was one of the first students to attend Unser’s new Drive & Drift School.

Cole was a great student and fast learner,” commented drift team owner Robby Unser. “We both come from an open wheel racing background and our methods of learning this sport are just the same. This racing is very difficult and like any other form of racing, it is important to get track time. Cole attended our drift school and was able to accelerate quickly through our class structure. We thought taking him to a Nopi Pro test would let him experience the track and see what the judges are looking for. We couldn’t be happier with his progress and we look forward to getting him back to the track.”

Wow that was fun,” said the excited Morgan. “This is very different than what I’m used to in an open wheel car but closer to my test in a Grand Am car. It looks easy on TV like you just pitch the car and hit the gas, but I can tell you it’s not. I’ve wanted to try drifting for some time and jumped at the chance to get behind the wheel. Robby’s help was great and I have to thank Hankook Tires for letting us test their tires. I ran on their road race tire in F2000 all this year and they were great. These tires had great grip and put up a lot of smoke. It was a great experience and I hope to get more track time with Robby soon.”
