Morgan Captures 2007 F2000 Championship in Dominant Fashion

LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL (August 20, 2007) – Cole Morgan captured the 2007 F2000 Championship Series presented by Hankook Title in extraordinary style at Lime Rock this past weekend. Joining the F2000 Series after missing the first race weekend, everyone knew this season would be an uphill battle for the Florida teenager and his Liviona, Michigan based St. Clair Motorsports team.

Immediately making his presence felt Morgan captured his first win in his debut weekend at Road Atlanta. Keeping that momentum throughout the season, he continued to win races sweeping the weekends at Watkins Glen and Lime Rock, in his first visits to the famous tracks. He was also on the top step of the podium at Mid-Ohio, raising his win total to 6, a series high, also being the only multiple race winner. With 6 wins, 3 poles, and 4 fast laps in only 10 races, Morgan was the man to beat all year.

“This has really been a dream season, we came in knowing we were at a disadvantage, we fought our way to the top and I can’t thank my team enough. I owe it all to St. Clair Motorsports, my Dad, George Levine and everyone else who helped me this year”, said a jubilant Morgan.

The rising star is still searching for marketing partnerships to solidify his 2008 season.

The F2000 Championship Series presented by Hankook Tires is one of the most competitive junior formula series. With 30-40 car entries the series reminds many of the FF2000 and FF fields of past decades. With fierce competition every weekend it is undoubtedly the best entry level series for young drivers.
